Facebook launches new messaging app called 'Instagram Threads' for Instagram users

Facebook launches a new messaging app called 'Instagram Threads' for Instagram users. The app, which was launched on Thursday, will be available on the iPhone and Android phones. Threads are basically a camera-centric app that allows Instagram users to send pictures and videos quickly, alongside their status quo. Those who are close friends or close friends who can be added to the list can be contacted quickly through threads.

An Instagram blog post states, "We noticed the need to communicate all day in small groups of friends." Threads have been introduced to communicate with friends and exchange their work through pictures and videos. This is essentially a new method of communication between close friends.

Analysts say the new app is essentially a duplicate of another app. Facebook's rival Snap has been added to many feature threads.

Last August, the technology website The Verge announced the first threads to arrive.

Snap's share price has dropped when news of Facebook's threads arrives. Yesterday, their share price fell by 5 percent.

Earlier, there were reports of Snapchat duplicating features on Facebook. In 2012, Facebook launched an app called Poké, similar to Snapchat. Snapchat was also duplicated in another app called Slingshot. But those two apps have not been popular. Facebook tried to put Snapchat in danger by bringing in another app called Direct. However, the Direct app was shut down last May due to fetching threads
